Title: The Old Point Loma Lighthouse
Caption:
The Old Point Loma Lighthouse was in operation protecting the entrance to San Diego Bay for almost 40 years. It was first turned on in November of 1855. The lighthouse had a serious issue though. It was often covered by low clouds and fog. In March of 1891 the light was put out and the keeper moved to a new lighthouse much closer to the water.
