Title: Harveston Reflections
Caption:
I took this early in the morning when the water was calm. I have been to this location many times, and this is the best combination of calm water and clouds that I have taken. This was perfectly stitched from 3 rows of 15 vertical shots taken from a nodal pano head. I planned this shot to be about the same field of view as a 100mm lens on a 6x17 film camera. The file size is about the same as if the aforementioned 6x17 negative was drum scanned. The resulting 300 megapixel file is just under 30k pixels wide and gorgeous to look at. Yes, I could have just shot this on 6x17 film, but I wanted to see if I could create a similar image digitally.
