Salvation Mountain

Nice photo of Salvation Mountain

Salvation Mountain near Niland, California is a handmade mountain built by Leonard Knight. It is made out of adobe bricks, discarded tires, automobile parts, and thousands of gallons of paint. I met Leonard Knight several times a few years before his death in 2014. He was always in a good mood. He let me take several portraits of himself as he would always tell me that Jesus loves me. If you have never been to Salvation Mountain, then I would encourage you to make the trek to the Southern California Desert. Salvation Mountain is one of those places you really need to see in person.

In-N-Out Murrieta

Nice photo of In-N-Out Murrieta

Being native to Southern California, I eat at In-N-Out Burger from time to time. I must admit that the burgers and fries are fantastic. I am also a fan of their T-shirts. I own probably about a dozen of them. It always amazes me how long the wait in the drive-thru is. I don’t know how people can wait that long just for food. I normally just go inside and order and take it to go. Much faster. This particular photo is of the In-N-Out Burger in Murrieta, California.

Nice photo of Leonard Knight Salvation Mountain

I met Leonard Knight several times a few years before his death in 2014. He allowed me to shoot a few portraits of him. He struck me as a generous and caring individual. All he wanted to do was show me his mountain and let me know that Jesus loved me. If you have never been to Salvation Mountain, then I encourage you to visit. It is amazing what this man built. I don’t know what kind of condition it is in today. Hopefully someone is keeping it in good shape.

Downtown Los Angeles Skyline

Nice photo of Downtown Los Angeles Skyline

This is the southbound Harbor Freeway at rush hour. I took several frames to get the light just right. I love how the long exposure creates streaks of lights with the moving cars. The nearby buildings help make this shot of the downtown Los Angeles skyline.
